ESPN among others are reporting that seven times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong is set to return next year.

Aged 37 in a couple of weeks’ time, Armstrong is reportedly going to be racing for the Astana team once again.

How wise this is after a long lay off, only time will tell, but it will certainly give the race a big boost after all the doping scandals of recent years.

The former sufferer of cancer will apparently be competing in five races overall.

He is expected to make an announcement in an issue of Vanity Fair magazine which will be out later this month.

Let’s hope he joins those sporting greats who came out of retirement in triumph as opposed to those who confirm why it was best they retired in the first place.

Time will tell.

I feel like Lance the way I feel about Tiger and Schumi. they may be brilliant, but predictable equals boring. And they don’t have a personality between them.

Tiger has personality.

Schumi came into F1 when it was ehavy on characters and Ecclestone wanted a fuss-free champion, and he got a…..German.

all the best to Lance let’s hope he is on the ball as it were….
