Adam - the cost of these setbacks from the Spears to the Kings - the Rugby Academy - the failed Argentine & Ireland Tours - from the RWC Bids for 2015 & 2019, the Super 15 broadcast deal & now the Super 15 Bid all runs into a mind blowing figure that goes north of R250 million wasted.
Attendance figures have plummeted for the Vodacom Cup and Currie Cup and Super 14 tournaments - all under 50%.
The game cannot grow if it is being suffocated.

The worst thing is that most of us knew this was going to happen. This is just another case of de ja vu, with Spears being replaced by Kings.

Talk about having a fox in the hen house.
