and a rating out of 10 is one way of doing it - I really enjoy reading peoples opinions on each player like that… And if you are a proffesional rugby player you have to realize that being judged comes with the job…

@ Banana - The point of sports (especially rugby) is to be entertained… To discuss it with ur mates, on blogs etc… Who you think is better, who u think had a good game, who had a crap game - its what makes it fun… The idea is to have an opinion…

@banana nobody blamed Fourie for Adi’s perceived defensive struggles.

Fact is though Jacque’s supporting lines have not been great. Doesn’t make either of them a bad player. So don’t start a non-existent debate.

@Steve you mean the point of sports is to be rated out of ten? LOL maybe in gymnastics, but I doubt any sportman wakes up in the morning before a game asking themselves I wonder how I will perform today, hopefully a 7! I think you missed the point altogetehr about sports in that case, and thats a shame, there is a lot to be enjoyed.

@Bonga, I love Adi, as a Sharks supporter he has been great for us, but since his injury, he has struggled…mosatly on defense…you cannot blame Fourie for that no matter how hard you try.

Glad we cleared that up about you being only a fan, and not a player…your blogs will make more sense now.

@ Steve- The JS situation is really quite a poser.

We scrum better with him at hooker, but Bismarck offers more around the park, which is where the Bokke have an edge over the opposition.

Also JS’s mobility (weight gain or not) was always going to suffer as time went on.

Nice headache to have still.

I still think our scrummie problems will be solved when Ricky drops 10kgs and gets his head right.

Hi Thankyou, I see you are having another crack at the rating system.
I read somewhere that players are not to keen on journos rating them out of ten, it has something to do with journos generally not knowing what they are talking about, yet still get to assess their performance by dishing out a number, apparently…oh well.
I did note your allegiance to Jacobs subsided somewhat, but then you did manage to somehow imply that his defensive misgivings are as much his partners fault…nice like what you did there.
Good luck next week with the ratings…it must be a difficult job being a players critic.

Agreed.. Lets keep Smit as a starter hooker and take Bismark off the bench - Beast was a wonderful impact player and it reminded me of whn he was first starting out - he makes such an impact with fresh legs in the last twenty minutes, it might be worth using him in that role. Deysel to start over Kankowski and Tereblanche should be tried out at fullback next year, he may be older but hey hes in the form of his life. Need more depth at flyhalf than ruaan pienaar as well, he´s not cutting it - lets give that potgieter from Free State a chance. Not sure whats up with Heini Adams, he injured? Should definately be our number 2 number 9…
