Hi Peter

I was making an example of the gulf in class between Jannie and Die Lem. Jannie was adequate. Ditto Kuun. Lem was a legend. I think Chilliboy will be. It's pretty obvious really.

As for your comment about John Smit, I don't know what you are on about.Chip on the shoulder mate?

Wow Siyabonga, to refer to Hendry Honiball (Die Lem)as a one season or one game wonder, shows how little you really know about rugby.
Use Google and find out who "Die Lem" was.
I think Chilliboy is great, and I went to the school as he, and John Smit, who, perhaps in your revered opinion, does also not make the grade because he's white. Shine a light.

OK beegee, Chiliboy then, was exposed as a poor scrummager in this last test and I'm sorry to say he's just too small and too short. Some have said that he hit a lot of rucks and that may well be, but then as a small hooker he should get around the park.
The problem for me is his scrummaging, which was evident in how it changed when Bismark came on. Having been a hooker who moved to tight-head I appreciate the "nuances" of the front-row and that it is a unit. The poor scores given to Smit and Mtawarira on some peoples rating are because they haven't a f'ing clue about this facet of the game. Short-arse hookers who can't get much purchase to push put pressure on their props. How much better is the All Black front row with A Hore rather than a midget (Mealamu)for example?

He's a good little player, but is going to need a whole lot more time playing understudy before he's ready to lead the Boks - which is I suppose where you're going here. I like him as a player I do, but a front-row forward needs to make it through a season as a first-choice for his provincial side before he can really command a bok berth. After all, it's not ballet eh?

I must take issue with some of your (ill-advised) comments however.

Jake White coached a world-cup winning team under extremely difficult circumstances. Snide comments about how he danced the political two-step are just that. He's earned his respect in the form of a world-cup winners medal.
