It's hard enough without all the panic merchants.

I hereby wish to categorically state that The Sumo's contribution up there is NOT a picture-perfect examle of this cognitive dissonance phenomenon that Siyabonga is referring to.

A trophy that Pirates won while Teko Modise was in diapers is relevant today and wipes away the decade of mediocrity that has become as firmly entrenched in Buccaneer culture as the golden crest itself.

This is the kind of mentality that those of us who are not Pirates fans hope will continue to thrive at that club. It helps our cause. If this thinking wasn't rife among the legions of Pirates supporters, there would have been much more success. After all, Pirates hold the dubious record of having parted with two league-winning coaches in a show of contempt for success.

Did anybody notice how much turnover ball the boks have been giving away? Is it the coach's fault? I saw it even when they beat The All Blacks.

Many times the the player with the ball is forced to get rid of it quickly, because support is not arriving on time.

Who is to blame?

Excellent Piece, Ntshings,

Now, I could go all controversial on this comment and delve into the reasons why certain sectors of the public already wrote our dear new Bok coache’s dismissal letter before he had taken the first practice, but that would serve no purpose. Just as in those minds he has failed even before he started, in mine he will only fail, if he does, because some people will make sure that he does and will stop at anything to see his demise come to pass.

I guess the whole point of this piece is the pointlessness of it all, nothingness really, like some saying that Pirates ‘lack ‘ of silverware in the past five years in their view is a sign of failure. In my mind it’s a non-sign, a mute point, the only sign that has any bearing is the star above the skull and crossbones Pirates crest which sets Orlando Pirates FC superior above all other teams in this country.

So are we all right? Or are we all wrong? Does it matter?
