Erm... no

Apart from France who lost, the other teams had tough games and times, but they won.

"Until", "last minute" etc. This is what separates the men from the also-rans. Winning a match, no matter against who, how easy, how tough.

And ask anyone who came home without a trophy – it’s not how well you played, it’s how many goals you scored. They don't award plates for being the better team, only hitting the back of the net (or scoring runs, or dotting the ball down). If you are worried about “good play”, go watch under-9 barefoot rugby and then it’s not about whether you win or lose, etc… When you play big leagues, you play to won, else don’t play at all.

Face the facts - we suck, and we started sucking a long time ago. No amount of justification is taking away that we dropped two places to number 70 in the world. Pathetic. We cry when the Boks or Proteas threaten to fall out of the top-3. But “hey, not qualifying to the African Nations is not that bad”.

As for 2010? Proof of pudding and eating and all that.
