That will always be the one glaring ommission from Arhtur's (and his predecessors) CV: A trophy win. It's a snowball almost, in that the longer SA fail in the big tournaments, its only going to get worse. The quota issue will always be there, considering our history, but it could be said that cricket, and rugby to a certain extent, have disappointed in this regard to a certain degree. I'm not concerned about the national set-up, since that shouldn't (if only) be affected, rather franchise/provincial level. That is where SA sports needs to take stock. Thanks for the comment Michel.

I've never been totally convinced of the team's fitness, Kallis has bloated somewhat, maybe even Smith as well for example. But we definitely need to go to the next level - win the tournaments, not just the round robin parts of it. The only thing that will be-devil this process, is the continuing harping on the quotas issue........... I tend to agree with your opinion of a “harder character” needed.
